I’ve been on the lookout for affordable all-natural makeup, eye makeup to be more precise.  Recently, I came across Alima Pure and decided to give it a try.  Here’s why I decided to make a purchase:

• The wide palette of colors are beautiful.

• The products are very reasonably priced.
• If you’re not sure about a color, you can buy a nicely sized sample for $1! ($1.50 for foundation)

I went with their gorgeous Luminous Shimmer Eyeshadow and Eyeliner colors.  I love a little shimmer, especially in the summer.  They offer free shipping with a minimum purchase, which I didn’t meet, but the shipping was only $5.

My package arrived 4 days later….

Upon opening the tissue paper, I found my full-size products (on sale!), a cute button, and a small brown paper bag containing…

….my purchased samples (in the clear containers).  I admit I went a little crazy, but at a buck each I could afford to!  The samples are really generous, as are the 3 free samples they included–2 shimmer eye colors and 1 shimmer eyeliner–that would compliment my other colors.

The cuteness keeps coming!  These little boxes have adorable designs, say “Lucky you” on one of the tabs when you open it, and offer beauty tips like “Laugh. It infects everyone around you with joy.”   The boxes are made from 100% recycled fiber (sweet!), and if you return 5 full-size jars to Alima Pure for recycling, you get a free eyeshadow (very sweet!).

The full-size eyeshadows have convenient (for this picture anyway) windows to view the colors, along with memorable color names.

I’m happy to report that the shimmer shadows are grown-up appropriate, giving off a beautifully subtle shimmer.  I’m looking forward to more playtime.  Some other great tidbits about these shadows:  A little goes a long way, they can be used wet or dry, and Alima Pure encourages their customers to create their own custom colors by mixing a bit of individuals colors together.
